Bottled Up! for Wilton Schools is a student-run fundraising group that believes students can take part in helping the schools and learn about giving back. The group raises funds by collecting and returning bottles for the $.05 deposit and donate all collections to Wilton’s schools via WEF. They know just how much every penny—make that every five cents—counts.
The group started with just six members. In the first year, they were able to donate $500 to WEF—that’s 10,000 bottles! Throughout the second year, Bottled Up! focused on getting more students involved, working closely with the schools, and increasing the fundraising goals.
Part of Bottled Up!’s mission is to enable Wilton’s students to learn about philanthropy and organizing while also helping Wilton schools. To accomplish this, they encourage the students to apply their knowledge of the school community to create unique ways to spread the word about the organization, motivate greater student participation, and increase outreach to the wider community.

Bottle and Can Recycling Drive to benefit Wilton Schools: Bottled Up! for Wilton Schools, the student fundraising group that’s part of the Wilton Education Foundation, is holding a bottle and can collection drive on Saturday, October 26th from 9 am-12pm at Cider Mill School.
Bring your bottles and cans to Trackside, and let Bottled Up! take them off your hands. They will turn them into cash that will be donated to help raise money for the schools! You don’t even have to get out of your car—pop open your trunk and they’ll unload them for you.
If you would like to get involved (parents and kids are both welcome), please drop the Bottled Up! committee an email.
